OUR 18th ANNUAL VINTAGE MOTORBIKE DAY SUNDAY THE 12th MAY AT MEGARRYS JERICHO COTTAGE ,BULL ALLEY, THE DUCKPOND GREEN BLACKMORE WAS A FANTASTIC SUCCESS.

WE RAISED£125 IN OUR COLLECTION BUCKETS WHHICH WAS SHARED BETWEEN BRAINWAVE AND THE ESSEX AIR AMBULANCE

The rain held off, hundreds of lovely old vehicles turned out and the icing on the cake was a visit from BBC ESSEX QUEST’S presenters LIANA AND MIKE. THEIR CLUE WAS HIDDEN IN THE TOOLBOX ON PETER’S 1928 HUMBER 350 SPORTS MOTORBIKE.

Found it !!
Getting warmer?

MEGARRYS TEASHOP WAS OPEN FROM 10 am for refreshments. In addition to our usual delicious HOME MADE CAKES, SCONES,and ROCK CAKES, we had aselection of Cheese, Ham , and Salad ROLLS.

JUDI’S GARDEN WAS OPEN!!…..AND WE COLLECTED FOR THE VILLAGE FAYRE CHARITY ‘BRAINWAVE’ in addition to ESSEX AIR AMBULANCE

Sadly The Bull Public House is STILL Closed… We are fighting to prevent it becoming a development site, but we weren’t able to use its garden AGAIN this year.

WE ASKED ALL M.BIKE OWNERS TO MAKE SURE THEY DID’NT BLOCK NEIGHBOURS DRIVES. There was plenty of space on the Green and in the Bull Alley as there was last year. The Green was full what a fantastic sight.

There were some really early visitors including a Triumph Combination with a wicker sidecar, and a very early Trike c 1900?? If anyone out there got some good photos please let us have them… I was too busy washing up and ‘FEEDING THE FIVE THOUSAND’ to take any photos except the few here very early in the day.

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO TURNED OUT WITH THEIR AMAZING MACHINES

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO WORKED SO HARD TO MAKE THE DAY A SUCCESS! AND TO ALL THE VISITORS, AND MY STAFF!!! WELL DONE!!!!!!.

AS USUAL THERE WAS NO MESS ON THE GREEN, OR IN OUR GARDEN!!! MOTORCYCLISTS REALLY ARE THE MOST CONSIDERATE OF ALL OUR CUSTOMERS!!

THANK YOU
