The last weekend before schools reopen for the Autumn term is notoriously quiet. Add to that the’ Paralympics effect'(must see television.. inspiring), and an all day coffee morning at St Lawrence Church, and conducted tours of our amazing new local Doctors surgery! We were expecting a deadly quiet Saturday. In fact Spencer and I managed do do quite a lot of gardening… long overdue.
Then out of the blue we received a phone call from Bernard of Barnards Farm..could we accommodate a group of Dion Bouton cars, their drivers and passengers COULD WE!!!!!! They arrived late afternoon and cheered up our day. What fantastic vehicles.
Now for all of you who missed them There is an OPEN DAY TOMORROW AT BARNARDS FARM, WHERE THEY AND LOTS OF OTHER EXCITING VEHICLES WILL BE ON SHOW.
In case you miss the open day there are a couple of other dates for your Diary See their website for details 25th October, 9th Dec ( Childrens society candle evening 4 till 6) and also on 8 th and 9th Dec SANTA SPECIALS on their miniature railway.
I took some photos, but am having trouble uploading them, so have used some from Bernards last visit!!(technology wins again)
I’ll try to get one of my grandchildren to help me upload the Dion Boutons ASAP!! Judi
